Özet
In thisstudy, it was aimed to investigate the total and fecal coliform levels ofaquatic environments of some rainbow trout (Oncorhynchusmykiss) farms in Rize and Trabzon, Turkey. For this purpose, thequality of influent and effluent of 7 trout farms located in Rize and Trabzonwas determined in terms of bacteriological structure. Accordingto Multiple Tube Fermentation Techniques, while the highest total coliformlevel was calculated as 1380 EMS/100 ml, the highest fecal coliform level was1100 EMS/100 ml. Generally, bacteriological qualities of the fish farm waterswere classified as High Quality (Class 1) and slightly polluted (Class 2) inaccordance to Quality Criteria of Inland Surface Water Resources of TurkishSurface Water Quality Regulation.
