Özet
This study aims to develop an attitude scale with validity and reliability for social studies courses. The data obtained to develop an attitude scale were collected using the survey method, which is one of the quantitative research approaches. The research study group consists of 202 secondary school students attending the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades in public schools in Erzurum city center. The study group was determined using the random sampling method. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Statistics version 20.0 software (IBM Corp.; Armonk, NY, USA) and AMOS software. Research data were subjected to exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. As a result of the research, a two-factor scale consisting of 20 items in the Likert type was developed.
